Legends of Justice

1897

A detective drama in the shadows of Victorian London. Follow the evidence, weigh your choices and live with the consequences.

A detective drama with a dark undercurrent

London, 1897. Every testimony conceals another version of the truth.

Legends of Justice unfolds in London in 1897, a city where gaslight never reaches the bottom of every alley. You are an investigator in an age when truth is a commodity and justice has a price.

Each case is built from evidence, testimony and silence. You gather what can be found, test each account against the next and decide which conclusion becomes official.

Choices endure. A name you protect in one chapter may return much later, and the city remembers how you chose to proceed.

“The city remembers what the law chooses to forget.”

Four ways into the city

Investigation is not a checklist. It is a sequence of judgments that cannot be undone.

  • Hand-built districts to explore freely, from the docks to silent drawing rooms.
  • Evidence is found through observation, not markers on a map.
  • Your notebook records what you have seen and lets you connect the threads.
  • Side trails lead to people whose stories might otherwise remain unheard.

Small team. Singular focus.

Cause & Effect Studios AB is an independent Swedish game studio. We work at a small scale and close to the material, creating narrative games where choices continue to matter.

We would rather make a few things well. Legends of Justice is our first title, developed deliberately and documented through an open production journal.
